Our last full day in Europe
We started with breakfast at our favorite spot. Eggs, Coffee and Croissant. And of course, the lemonade cake.
Our plan today is to head directly to the Cathedral. With an early start there should be no line to get in.
Straight in, no waiting!
The remains of Saint James, the Greater are said to be in the silver coffin. Possibly he has been moved to Rome.
The relics were not discovered until 900 years after his death so we are really not sure.
Its a Great story anyway and has atrackted thousands of Pilgrims each year.
After our Cathedral visit, we headed out for a walk around town.
Twelfth Crntury stone
architecture always photographs well! This is the perfect playground for a boy and his camera. Although the photos are
here on the blog in 2D
(Hight and Width) they are on 3D on the camera with its snap on viewer If you want to see them, you will have to see me.
After our final visit to Casa Marcella we have headed back to the room to get ready to come home. Our cab is at 7:30am.
It has been a fantastic trip
All the adventure we could have ever expected. Nice places with friendly people.
It will be nice to be home. Being back with our dogs, Molly and Jake.
Im sure they will be happy to see us.
Thanks for following along! 😃

Hello Again!
Well, a lot has gone on since the last post. A full day of travel, (one missed flight) many hurray up and wait moments. Airport travel has you walking endlessly, climbing, escalators, elevators, electric walk ways and while traveling in Europe, Customs.
Not one without the zig zag approach that has you walking 5 times the distance, maybe more, to get to the agents booth. In the last 2 days we have gone through customs at least 15 times.
One thing that was a surprise for us, after all you might have read or heard, Europians still love Americans. Maybe they feel l little sorry for us now, but we have been received with open arms, everywhere.
There is never talk about politics, ours or theirs, always friendly conversation about life.
For the first time on this trip, we have had dependable Wi-Fi. You start something, you finish.
None of this crossing boarders, like on the boat, There the wi-fi carrer could change and just simply stop working. Sometimes having to wait as much as an hour for it to come back up. Losing your train of thought
during that lost time is easy
. Believe me.
It's now Wednesday morning. Two more full days before we head home
. We love it here. It so feels like home but without our friends and family. We wish you could all be here and are sure you would love it too! We have been to Santiago de Compostella more than 10 times and although its very old, for us, it never gets old. Its always exciting.
Yesterday, as we do every morning, We hit the ground running.
Our little spot we have breakfast at opens at 8:00am and is filled with hungry Pilgrims by 8:01.
We are lucky to have it right across the street from our hotel
Its dark at 8:00 so heading out is a bit harder but do-able.
Its on the route from the Cathedral to Finisterra. Everyone seems to know that.
Finisterra is the unspoken end to all the Caminos. Lands end, for all those that just haven't walked enough. Not everyone in the restaurant are going there, but they all seem to know
The lemon cake you get by just showing up is to die for! That alone with their cupachino is heaven on earth 🌎
My plan after breakfast yesterday as well as today is to get out and take photos.
Im shooting with an Insta360, Leica Sofort and a little 3D camera called a Qoocam.
Most of the time now I'm shooting with the Qoocam Ego 3D camera. Its easy and takes great images. I can view them in 3D with the snap on viewer or share them as a 2D image on my blog.
The snap on viewer allows you to share the photos like the Viewmaster we had as kids.
3D videos can be watched as well
I love the 3D Format! It always has the unexpecting vewer say "WOW!"
Here are some of the 2D photos I took today around town:
Another deishious lunch at Casa Marcella. Our favorite place for lunch in the whole wide world !
There were only a couple of the crew that are there from when we first starting going over 10 years ago.
Always an amazing experience for us.
Each dish prepared to perfection
The Lobster
The Squid
Their Sardine. Perfect!
For Dessert, A classic Santiago de Compostella Cake filled with a heavenly Almond cream! Beautiful 😍!

The Final Ride
Our final full day and our final Island Ride.
Everyone is tired and both happy and sad it's coming to a close.
Although we were not on an Island, we did start out as usual. This time on busier streets than what we have had sll tour.
Hot sun, steep climbs and rough road surfaces, everyone noticed and mentioned it.
We stopped at a nice seaside restaurant for lunch.
great menu and of course Cold Beer!
The rest of the ride was quite hilly with amazing views
More hot sun and rough roads.
