So here we are in Paris. Coming in from the train station was like nothing we had ever seen before. There are more people traveling the streets at one time. Every type of mobile device you could ever imagine!
There are 4 types of "Share" Ebikes. 3 types of scooters. Motorized skateboards. Single wheel and side by side hover boards. pedal bikes. Vespa and motorcycles, and of course cars and buses.
All taking the same space. It would be nuts to have rented a car.
There was even a time when there was a guy in a suit with a red bow tie running the middle of the street because the sidewalk was full. It was like being in a dream or the center ring of a 3 ring circus. Our driver was cut off at least 100 times between the train station and our hotel.
Well we are here, in one piece with all our stuff. That's all that can be expected, in a good way!
That being said, The first thing I wanted to do after breakfast in the hotel, wich is very good, was to go to Notre-Dame, see how the building had fared and what was going on to repair it. Five more years of rebuild is what I heard. Here are the photos.
The plaza in front is completely closed off beyond the side walk with a wall that if you could get onto the side walk, you could peek through. Not worth photographing.
