All is good on the road to Santiago!

After a day of uncertainty, all is well. We never would have made it to the hotel last night if the bike haddent broken down. It was way too far for amount of power our bikes have. The trail was too rough and the altitude gain over the whole length , would have had us both walking . But as it was , we were saved and got a ride. The rest is history. Well today was a completely differnt story.
We decided today to stay on the pavement and get to the hotel as soon as posdible. The perfect day. Sunny and dry with a huge tail wind. Not easy but fun.
The wind only got stronger and as we rode, it was silent. Quite beautiful. Never flat. Good sized climbs and long descents. The last sccton before coming into town we needed to cross a huge bridge. the foot path was super narrow with chain link fence to keep you from going into traffic. I had to turn my handle bar mount mirror it to fit. I rode most of the way until the wind really picked up. You wouldn't want to crash. There was no problem of going over into the long drop and splash but you could break a finger on the fence. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done on a bike. like riding on ice. You are really not sure whats going to happen next!
You can see the walkway behind the blue bridge barrier and the chain link fence.
We are well here in our hotel room. the wind outside is not slowing down. We only hope that tomorrow it will be on our backs.
The view out our hotel window. Not so bad!
