Saturday, Day 7 Maybe Rain.

Nice sky to start out. Blue through the clouds but not super cloudy. we will take what we get and are ready for it. A little rain wont hurt, but it has some of the group worring. Our ride today is a straight shot. 41 miles. im sure it will be mostly bicycle trail so if it does rain at least there wont be the cars to deal with. More on this later. We have been told about a Monastery along the way for lunch. My plan is to get the ride done and eat at the end.

Well it did rain but only for about an hour. 1/3 of the group bailed and got in the van. No sooner than after the bikes were loaded and riders in their seats, the sun came out! That always is a problem for people that want to ride but not in the rain. We are glad it wasent us. Barb went off the front and left me to remove my rain suit. By the time i caught up, she had stopped at a Lemonaid stand , Run by 3 girls. Their parents were overseeing them and refused to take money from us. It was a fun stop.

We did stop for lunch at the Monastery for lunch. Nice spot. Outdoors.

At the hotel now and its pouring with thunder and lighting. Good thing we are off the road. We will be meeting the group at 6:30 for a meeting and then head out for dinner.
