Last morning in Cahors, First afternoon in Rocamadour

Again, Woken to the smell of Croissants baking. So Nice!
Today is the official day of our ride. A somewhat long and hot climb on the tandem. 2750' to be exact. A bit less then what I expected but certainly enough.
Great pavement for most of the ride, with a mix of sun and shade. This is truly France. Long roads with few cars. Farms and cute villages all along the way. Most had nothing to buy so what water we started is what we had.
The rear brake was rubbing for the first part of the day, which happened to be the hilliest. It turned out that the rear wheels skewer was very loose. After we figured it out, all was fine.
A great lunch at the Halfway and at the perfect time. A salad for Barbara and Salmon in Casserole for me. Big chunks of fish in a cream, rice and onion sauce. Again, a perfect hot lunch for fuel for a hard ride.
Tomorrow we will be riding to a limestone cave and be returning back to our room here in Rocamadour.

They have booths so you can talk on your cell phone not in public
